Children's Masterpiece Theatre: 2000 - 2008

Sub-head

Foreword:

Children's Masterpiece Theatre was an alternative rock band from Chicago, IL.

After seven years of small run releases of varying lengths, CMT's full-length, eponymous debut was released on September 18th, 2007 on Tyranny Belle Records; their band's final public performance took place in April 2008 at Chicago's Beat Kitchen.

This was the band's final lineup:

Sound Opinions host Jim DeRogatis called CMT "a combination of vintage '90s symphonic Smashing Pumpkins with Tool or Nine Inch Nails electro-industrial thrash," praising the band's "ambitious self-titled album" and newer demos which showcase "the promise of a band struggling to find a unique path forward from its obvious influences."
